National University of Singapore

The time : 9am. I found myself at the Central Library of Times' No. 19th University in the world, The National University of Singapore. I was waiting for a friend whom I knew for years. This was a last meeting before we part for over a year. As I sat there I dialled his no. , something I did after waiting for some moment with no sign of him showing.

Me : Hello
Kenneth : Hello
Me : Are you still sleeping?
Kenneth : No, I woke up dy
Me : Then where are you?
Kenneth : In my room
Me - swt.. pauses for a moment
Kenneth : You at the library dy?
Me : yea...
Kenneth : Oh ok, give my 15 minutes.

So that extended my little stay in the library for a while longer. I took a breather only to be caught by the sight of a girl dressed in a white dress with a full facial makeover. Her dress was a little like a baby doll top with above knee length skirt which was sort of curled inwards for the fluffy effect. (I'm currently reading Sophie Kinsella works FYI)

Central Library

Anways, NUS students actually dress up for a simple trip to the library? Not the mention there was a huge concentration of chicks with decent bodies (seriously hawt bikini bodies if they were in one) Man, and I can't really say the LSE can boast that comment. Ah well, life goes on.

20 minutes later, Kenneth showed up and we started to walk around the NUS. Under the unbearable heat and I can even see some girls walking around with jumper like its in winter and they just want to strut their winter look so that their appearance could stand out like a rose amongst the thorn. I mean seriously here I was practically bbq-ing myself and you girls are seriously not making it any better.
Other than the heat, I was fine. Ken brought me to the Engineering Cafetaria. It was called Techno Edge. No offence but who chose that name? I mean how could you have techno edge when there's no sign of a beat boxer or a DJ or a turn table. None of those! Just plain ordinary table with shops around selling the average Singaporean meal at student price. Did I mention that the McD were also priced at student rate? How pleasant.

Unfortunately (luckily) the place was closed, so we tailed off to the Art's Cafetaria. I don't have to mention that the Art's Faculty has the largest number of lookable chicks around, do I? So went off and ate there. The food was so so - but I was sort of hungry so I didn't mind it at all. I'll just leave the part where Ken got us lost twice out (oops). After the not so delicious meal, we were off to the Student Admin department (something like that) to get Ken's student pass. That pass finally makes him a legal student. Before that I guess he was an illegal immigrant (think Bangladeshi people in Malaysia).

The Student Admin department

Later we were off to Raffle's Hall. Apparently people in halls are the super active ones that love to just make activites for hall members only. I mean seriously, I admire the commitment and dedication, but where is the profit in that when only your hall members can join in the fun? Ah well, the rooms there were ok in size I guess. A little too small for my liking but I guess that makes it homely for them.

Apparently this is the dustbin area

Later in the day, Ken had to rush off for his lecture. I went off to the Science Faculty (another place with a good concentration of chicks) to have lunch with Jamie, an old friend since the primary school age. We had lunch (more like two of us just sitting there and talking, I had something to eat earlier and she wasn't hungry). But it was nice to catch up with her. She seemed to be doing well and enjoying the course as well. We also talked about getting her a boyfriend but I'll won't elaborate any further here.

Jamie

(I tried to get a better pic of you but you kept on deleting my pics, but this one looks fine la)

And that was my trip to the NUS. Many thanks to Ken and Jamie for spending some time with me. All the best in your future undertakings. :)

Back from Singapore

I went to Singapore alone. Had a blast there (more to come in the coming post). But I come back with someone new. Someone whose grace and beauty touched me the moment I laid eyes on her. Once she was around me, I felt that special connection. One that would be special and lasting. To find someone like that is truly a rare thing and I am grateful to be given such a blessing. I proudly feature her here . . .

Got a new bag from Singapore and I love it. Saw it on the shelf in Robinsons and I put it on. My aunt's first comment was "That bag is soooo you". Hmmm - she's right. :)
