The past week

... saw me entering into the working life for the first time in London. My internship began with Deutsche Bank and will end at the end of Aug. Monday to Wednesday kept me busy with training sessions that last the whole working day and then it was followed by 2 social events in the bar. Pretty interesting to meet up with fellow interns and learn about their different background and all - though I have to admit that I don't really remember all their names at the moment. After the training I was brought to the working offices - the place where it all happens. To sum up my first 2 days - I have never ever felt more stupid in my life. Those people there really takes your pride of doing well in A levels and SPM - then tear it up into pieces and throw it right into the bin.

Those people can make you feel that. Have to admit that for once - in the presence of these brilliant people - I have absolutely no idea what is going on the office at ALL. OMG - I think being in somewhere like a foregn city, maybe Bombay or stg and have no one around speak english at all, or even being stranded on a deserted island would even come close to how lost I feel there. Luckily there are many people there to help out - phew... I think I might just like it there - let's just see, it has only been 2 days anyway.

At the end of the week - I was really tired out, I need a nice place to just chill out and relax. Some place where I can just catch my breath for a moment and chill out. Unfortunately, I had to be dragged to this gig here (by some friends). Perhaps you would know the performer to that concert...

John Clayton Mayer (surname pronunciation: /ˈmeɪ.jɜr/[1]) (born October 16, 1977) is an American singer-songwriter. Originally from Connecticut, he attended Berklee College of Music before moving to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1998, where he refined his skills and gained a following. His first two studio albums, Room for Squares and Heavier Things, did well commercially, achieving multi-platinum status. In 2003, he won a Best Male Pop Vocal Performance Grammy Award for "Your Body Is a Wonderland".
Mayer began his career performing mainly acoustic rock and pop, but gradually began a transition towards the blues genre in 2005 by collaborating with renowned blues artists such as B. B. King and Eric Clapton, and by forming the John Mayer Trio. The blues influence can be heard on his album Continuum, released in September 2006. At the 49th Annual Grammy Awards in 2007 Mayer won Best Pop Vocal Album for Continuum and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Waiting on the World to Change". Mayer's career pursuits have extended to stand-up comedy, design, and writing; he has written pieces for magazines, most notably for Esquire. He is also involved in philanthropic activities through his "Back to You" fund and his concern over global warming.

Frankly, I wasn't that impressed with his musical talent not his ability to play the guitar really well (apparently) - I'm not really a guitar guy. Basically he only impresses me because... he with JENNIFER ANISTON!! OMG, what a lucky guy! So I was there, at the concert - just hoping that she'll make a cameo appreance! Just 5 seconds of gracing the whole concert with her presence. I would definately be willing to pay twice the amount of the ticket if she did that... (30 pounds per ticket btw)

For over 2 hours of standing there listening to music comparable to a live band in a bar... and NOTHING! no special appreance! Sigh - waste my time, money and my relaxing chill out moment. No Aniston! ARGH!! Thanks a lot John... (you're hiding her backstage weren't you...)

"You're welcome, man"

So there was my week there - he's got some nice songs.. I think - wasn't really listening cos I was outside for a while just chilling with my drink. Funny thing is when we went out of the concert, there were several people just trying to make a quick buck by selling tshirts for 5 pounds. One of my friends bought one - as for me, I was just glad the night was over. As I walked out of the place, I was wondering of Jennifer was in the backstage in the building. She probably was, and for a moment - I was in the same building as her. (a thought to keep me happy for that night)

I'll just hold on to this ticket, as a memory of that happy possibility... :P

Back - and going...

Got back a couple of days ago from Italy. Venezia and Roma was nice (more of ok, maybe cause I've been to rome before). The company was great, the food was excellent especially when you've walked the whole city and have pretty much exhausted your legs to the point of breaking.

Will updated on the trip later. You can check out some pics from Michelle's Multiply.

After thinking up of what I need to do - I just had a sudden realisation... I have SO MUCH to do with so little time. OK, maybe not that much - but time is surely not something I can simply waste nowadays. I have my internship starting on Monday and I still have not get to planning the Langkawi trip with a bunch of lamers. ARGH! I really miss those days when I could just wake up in the afternoon. Then wonder for about 2-3 hours of what to do over a nice meal that combines breakfast and lunch. Then proceed to call out some friends only to find out that they also have nothing planned for that day. Then go hang out doing random stuff till the early hours of morning.

Ah, those were the good old days... in this case old here was just a few years ago (less than 5 years) If I get too much free time, I try to get a job. It seems like I can only live in between and not one of the 2 extremes. STRESS!! - even after exams... sigh

Oh yea, I watched Kungfu Panda. One WORD.. no, make it a tonne of words... It is so FUNNY and ORIGINAL. It's amazing how they could make a big fat lazy clumsy panda so adorable! haha But my most favourite character is Master Wu Guai (the Americans spelled it as Oogway.. LOLZ). Love that old tortoise. I vote him one of the best animated character ever created.

His long neck, small head and big eyes give him the best features for an adorable character.

His best quote : is definately not that crap about the past is wtv and the future is wtv and now is a gift bla bla bla...

His best quotes came when :

Shifu : But who? Who is worthy to be trusted with the secret of limitless power? To become the DRAGON warrior.

Oogway : I dunno...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shifu : Master! I have er.. It's very bad news.

Oogway : Ahh Shifu, there is just news. There is no good or bad news.

Shifu : Master, your vision, your vision was right. Tai Long has broken out of prison, he's on his way.

Oogway : O_O That is bad news.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hahaha - Many cheers to Randall Kim (voice of Oogway, also appeared as the keymaker in the Matrix: Reloaded)

I should really get a tortoise now.

I am FREE

Finally! My exams are over! 2 months of studying and spending long hours in the library - I can finally taste the sweet flavour of freedom. Though I have to admit that now my life sort of feels meaningless. The purpose of a student is to study - now that exams are over, studying seems pointless at the moment.

Ah, forget that! I'm FREE. The first thought I had in my head was - - - BANKAI! (only the people who watch Bleach would get it)

Muahaha, release my Zanpakutou!

Wahaha - now I can waste time, doing pointless things and all! woohoo!

But that won't last for long - sigh. Here's why :

  • Going to a trip with Michelle to Venice and Rome. Have to plan for that - leaving in 2 days.

  • I have an internship with Deutsche Bank - starting on the 23rd of June. Work work work

  • Have to settle accommodation for next academic year

  • Have to play football and Gunbound - yes, GB...

  • Going back to Malaysia end of Aug! woohoo!

But for now - I shall enjoy myself. Unleash the BANKAI!!! Ryūmon Hōzukimaru !!!!

Shall leave some poser pictures here - the blog seem to lack these pictures... :P

Cheers! - Pics thanks to Kwokwei and Jiapin...
