This is sorting of killing 2 birds with one stone as he wanted me to update my blog as well. The scene from where this request came from was when we were happily sitting together eating dinner. We were watching this movie as we ate our dinner.

So here I am offering my completely biased view on this movie. To start it off, the main actor and actress are no eye candies. But that didn't put me off. To be fair, as the movie quote says : The is not a love story, this is a story about love. Fine, so the highlight of the movie would be the story. Let's talk about the story shall we?

Firstly the movie has an interesting concept of dating the events with numbers starting from 1 which would be the day the guy meets Summer (hence the name of the movie), the girl who he thinks would be his soul mate. It was all going well until... the movie jumps to number 300 something than back to 3 then jumps again to 270 then back to 20 then ahead to 399 then back to 2 then ahead to 472. Seriously, I have seen flashbacks but this was just ridiculous. One moment he was happily spending time with her then in the next second he was sitting there sulking over the fact that she left him. Now you might argue that the numbers are a good indicator of the time line, True. I agree, but again there should be a limit to how many times you can reverse and speed up time.

The girl... the main girl in the story is just down right stupid. Everything around her does not make sense at all. Firstly, she someone who apparently does not believe in marriage - I am actually alright with that philosophy. So naturally she would dump the guy some time in the future - Fine. Then all of the sudden, in less than a year... she get's married?? What? How did that happen? What ever happened to her principles that she managed to keep all the way throughout her life? Apparently it just crumpled after a relationship with the guy.

The guy on the other hand, had the opposite philosophy in life. He had always believed in marriage and then after being dumped by her, he goes all bitter and emo. He no longer believes that love exist. It seemed like he bet everything on this girl and after losing her - he went all crazy and emo. Makes sense right? Not really actually. Cos she told him clearly that she wanted nothing serious from this relationship. So why would he want to bet everything on a casual relationship? What was he hoping to get out of it?
The fact is, he did bet everything on the relationship - his hopes, his dreams, his life. So when she dumped him, did he even his best to win her back? Did he try his best to defend his life long philosophies? Nope.
He walked out of the restaurant after getting dumped. Went back home and went into an emo state. He stayed in that state all the time in the office and at home until a point where he exploded and quit his job.

The ending was icing to the amount of ridiculousness of the movie. 500 days of Summer ended and 1 day of Autumn started the day he met this girl at a job interview. Her name? You guessed it... Autumn.

Do not watch this show. I thought it was a waste of time. People who like this movie might do so maybe because this show appeals to their dreams of an ideal love life. Or perhaps it may relate to some parts of their love life. Or perhaps they found something else interesting in the midst of all the confusing non continuous time line of the movie. Or perhaps they like it just because their girlfriends find it an "Awwwww" type of movie. Regardless, let's face it - it is a rubbish movie and I can easily find 10 other better movies to waste my little time on.

(OK done, back to work...)

My less-then-a-month old Samsunite umbrella broke

Can't believe I only blogged once a month last month. Haha - this is bad :P There must be some method for my to have time to do my assignments, have some leisure time, cook, read stuff and still be able to spend long hours in my lovely hot shower. It's getting really cold now - you don't know how nice it is to just stand there and let the hot steamy water run for a looooooong time.I got a new hair styling wax. It wasn't cheap - probably was the most expensive one on the shelf. It looked decent and professional, like something a stylist from Toni & Guy would use. I got cheated... it's crap. Gets my hair oily later in the day. With this, my hair does not stand up or even makes nice waves or layers. This crap bundles my hair together and makes them fall flat on my head. My hair had a better chance of standing up without the wax. On the upper side - they're pretty generous with the wax, it's filled up almost to the brim. I'm thinking now that they're just trying to get rid of as much crap as possible...

Which is why... I got this...

Ok, this it the biggest image I could find of it in 10 seconds. I'll explain what it says on the cover.

"Attention - Extreme Attraction"
"got2b magnetik styling gel contains pheromones - a man's secret edge to attract the ladies..."
"Use cautiously at first until you know your true magnetik effect."
This is Schwarzkopf got2b magnetik styling gel. Apparently... it contains pheromones. I am assuming that the girls would have to smell my hair for it to have any effect on them. That would be... difficult, considering most of them are shorter than me. sigh

Anyway, I used it today and... it's decent - it holds my hair up, but there are other products which can do better. Also, its effects would probably wear off later in the day. You probable want to know about its pheromones effect. I think it wore off the moment I applied it on my hair. No girls were any more attracted to me but I guess the fact that none of them are being repulsive towards me counts as a good thing already.

Anyways, just short post to keep it updated.
PS - I have lots of assignments and should be doing them now.
PSS - I am tired as I only had about 5 hours of sleep daily for the past 2 days. I need more than that!
PSSS - Going back to Msia, stepping on home ground on the 15th of this month.

I'm drinking pear cider

I waved to them as the train started to move away. As far as I could, I ran with the train and kept on waving. They waved back. The train sped off into the darkness as I walked out of the station. Time to go back I guess, alone...

Loneliness seemed to make the steps slower. The journey seemed longer than usual. I got back minutes later. The warmth of the house greeted me, along with the lingering smell of dinner we had together just moments ago. I went upstairs to my room. The sight of my files all stack up greeted me, along with the thought of the assignments that needed to be done. Screw it. My head was spinning too much for that.

I took a rest, knowing that the news would be true. Tomorrow would be the strongest storm Britain has seen in a year. It might be hell tomorrow. The bags of garbage we left outside might just break out or get blown off miles away. The hangers at the backyard would be blown off, possibly into the river. I knew I would wake up in the morning, hearing only the howling winds that threaten to break the window to get into my room. People outside would fall down and lose their balance.

I prepared myself for the chaos that would happen the next day. Let's hope all is alright. Let's hope I'll be safe. I needed to go out of the house to reload the prepaid electricity credit. I needed to brave the storm. I needed to walk into the chaos and survive...

Will I survive? Will I get back alive? let's... hope so...

10.30am, I got up... I sat up and pushed the curtains aside... let's see what I need to go through today...
...

It was a bright sunny morning. The bags were still there as they had always been. Opposite the road, young kids were warming up to have a game of soccer. An old couple walked passed by my house, smilling.

What the...

That's the last time I believe Yahoo News or BBC... sigh

I feel like eating organic grapes

Haven't updated in a while, due to the very fact that some people, impulsively and under the persuasion of someone who have a tendency to vomit in the morning, decided to stay over for 2 nights during the last weekend. Well, I had to admit that I did have fun - it's all covered here at the party girl's blog.

And to my knowledge, I helped her buy a book and last I checked, she hasn't really read the book. So, being the nice friend that I am, I decided to write a review of that book. Not to spoil it for her of course, but just to brace her of what she might read in the book later.

Dan Brown, a man that definitely writes good books. So far this would be the fifth book that I read written by him. My previous thoughts of his previous books were...

Da Vinci Code - Overall a good book, touches on some issues on religion, simple enough for the ignorant to follow and packs quite a plot.

Angels and Demons - Thrilling, fast-paced and exciting with a really interesting twist.

Deception Point - Average compared to the previous two. The twist at the end, I would have to say, took me by surprise.

Digital Fortress - Crap. Enough said.

So how did this book fair against the others?

The book starts of, like his other books, straight into the main story line. We see Robert Langdon once again, this time being the victim of a well-schemed plan. As the story progressed on, it is revealed that the plan would some what lead on to the Ancient Mysteries. At this point, Robert takes a different stand from his usually one, he becomes a skeptic, denying that the Ancient Mysteries exist even though there were clues saying otherwise. He and a woman (we always need one of those in a novel), finds themselves running away from the CIA later on and trying to solve the puzzle from a pyramid that they found earlier. All this effort to save Robert's mentor and dear friend, who was kidnapped.

Pages later, they solve the puzzle, pass the clue onto the kidnapper, who I must say is bald, bulky and full of tattoos. They do eventually save the friend (really can't remember his name, oh wait - it's Peter, I just checked). The kidnapper, Mal'akh - at the end tries to sacrifice himself to join the ranks of the Gods, but fails miserably.

Ok, the book is pretty average. Firstly the twist was pretty predictable. Mal'akh was actually Peter's son who was first given some family inheritance. Then he spent it in Europe, got jailed, Peter refused to bail him out instantly so he bailed himself out and used the rest of the money to buy a house and steroids to bulk himself. Then decided to get revenge against his father. Later on he revealed to Peter that he was his son. That twist was seen a few chapters before Mal'akh actually revealed himself.

The puzzles were solved, as usual. But not with really interesting methods, unlike Da Vinci Code. And there are so little puzzles to solve, it's like the Ancient Mysteries are that easy to find with the right tools.

On the other hand, the book does have its good moments. Some parts are fast-paced and thrilling, like when Katherine was running away from Mal'akh. We do see a development in Robert's character, being a skeptic for once. And the ending was pretty nice - to end a book with hope sort of leaves you with a smile when you close it.

Alright, I need to get back to my assignment - write again soon...

Korean Song of the Moment :

Hero is here

And so I got the HTC Hero, well for several reasons I guess...

The Hero lost out due to its inferior screen, smaller and lower in quality compared to the Omnia 2. But I have the iTouch - with its billions of games and videos to make up for it. Hero has a much nicer interface to keep up with my friends through facebook and is much much much less laggy compared to the Omnia 2.

It was sad to say goodbye to the AMOLED screen but the Hero made me so happy when I used it. The interface is smooth and I like the widgets that HTC offered. I have to mention though that the Android Market is nothing compared to Apple's Appstore but in a few month's time, who knows what would happen then.

For now, the Hero is doing wonders for me - love the chin design and the exterior is pretty cool looking. Plus, the colour matches my jacket - hahaha, vanity has reached a new height for me. Because of my phone, I'm more prone to wear one jacket now...

This is what happened from when I stopped updating. Me and Lehong were drinking... and drinking... and drinking... for no apparent reason. We starting of chatting at first - then we watched some korean movie (lehong's suggestion, he's really into korean stuff) (well, me too ... :P). So imagine 2 guys, with loads of beer bottles... watching a movie together - the only thing is, we were streaming it and the connection was really bad. So... we ended up waiting a lot and while waiting, I was going through his facebook - hehe

We ended up checking out pictures, laughing at people. It probably wasn't that funny but the alcohol might have made some pictures look really ridiculous.

We drank all the bottles in the fridge, which was a lot to begin with...

When we ran out, we continued with bottles that weren't chilled yet - I hit 9 bottles that night, that's half of my own box. Next day, monday, was filled with classes. Needless to say - I was stoning from 10am to 5pm... hahaha

On another note - the rubbish was collected today, the thing is - I feel those rubbish collectors have no common sense. The rubbish is only collected once in a fortnight and we cook everynight... so 1 rubbish bin won't be enough to contain all of our bags for 2 weeks. Obviously, we were trying to be nice and left the bags besides the overfilled bin so that the cover can still be closed.. so that water won't be contained in the bin. Those collectors can't even collect those bags! Seriously, they only collect that's in the bin? That's sooo ridiculous... I feel like throwing the bags into the river behind my door - it's flowing so... our garbage should be cleared out rather quickly... :P

OK I won't... sigh

Song of the moment...

Britney's 3... and I've played it more than 3 times...

The peace

Dear Blog,

Here's what happened this weekend. It all started on Saturday morning, I was awaken by sounds in the toilet, it seemed like someone was doing his business. Probably MinYee, the thought of getting up did cross my mind but I quickly shut it out. It was one of those rare moments that I was given the blessing to wake up late. I won't want to waste that. Before getting back to sleep... I checked the time - 8.25am. Good Night!

Woke up again, this time I felt really fresh. Like a bear after a winter hibernation. Let's check the time shall we? 10.30am, wow - that's really late (for me that is). Got up, changed then before I knew it, I was out walking towards the city centre. Upon reaching the city centre, I went into the nearest book store I could find. I was certain that the book I was looking for would be here and would be cheaper.

Found it. It was half priced! From a whopping GBP 18.99 to GBP 9.49! Being a cheap student, I of course asked for an additional student discount. I got it! Another 10 % off. Woohoo! GBP 8.45 for the book, that really made my day.

Went into Carphoneware house after that, went to ask about the HTC Hero. A phone I've being eyeing on since Friday (I know, no that long ago). The thing about me is that I'll go after one thing no matter what as long as I know I WANT it. The manager asked if I needed anything, of course I asked for the HTC Hero, we then spent 20 minutes talking about the suitable package. At the end, to his displeasure I said thanks and left. Went over to Tesco's to do grocery shopping for the weekend.

That's the HTC Hero...

Then I went back, did some homework, did some reading... then online! Facebook, read mangas... of course I read more reviews on phones as well... Then I called O2... I wanted to cancel my O2 simplicity contract cos the phone that I wanted was only on contract with Orange or Vodafone. The conversation went something like this...

Me : (with a stern voice) Hello! I want to cancel my contract.
Guy : Oh, sure I'll do that for you.
Me : (surprised) Oh ok... thanks..
Guy : Why do you want to terminate your contract?
Me : I want to get a new phone. And the contract does not include O2 services.
Guy : Oh? What phone is that?
Me : HTC Hero
Guy : Oh... actually O2 is also having a new HTC phone on contract. It's coming out next month. It's soooo much better than HTC Hero, why don't you wait one more month?
Me : ... (Oh?) Got new phone? :)
Guy : Yea...
Me : Really? Ooo
Guy : ....
Me : So... If I were to wait, just say I do, will I get a better rate cos I'm an existing customer?
Guy : Yea, sure..
Me : Oooo, I see... k
Guy : ...
Me : Ok I'll wait, bye
Guy : Bye

Then I went to check the new HTC, it looked like the N97. No offence, I think the slide out QWERTY keypad is so ugly. Sigh, kena con liao... :( He tried to introduce me to an ugly phone...

Then I cooked dinner (pasta), ate it while watching 'Over her dead body'. Half way through the movie, I realised I cooked too much - and was soo bloated... sigh. Plus the movie was sooo... ARGH, I really don't like movies that make you wish someone was beside you at that moment. Especially when there's no one else in the house.

Slept... woke up at the same time. Bathed, changed, got something to eat. Did homework. Read more reviews this time, the reviews led me to this phone...

The Samsung Omnia 2... wow - the only bad review it received is that it was laggy... How would I choose between the 2? Argh, haven't been able to make up my mind... well, one thing sure did push my decision towards the Samsung phone. Samsung managed to get Son Dambi (hot artist) and After School to sing about their AMOLED technology. FYI, Active - Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode is a new technology developed by Samsung. It's used in the Omnia 2 phone and others as well...

Then, the others came back from their trip in London... tomorrow, it's back to the normal routine, no matter - Shaun's getting a new phone Wednesday... muahahaha

Home

Welcome to a special edition of MTV Cribs! In today's episode, we proudly bring you to the home of the Three from the original Rosebery Drinkers. That group have been notorious for causing the whole ground floor's toilets to be locked up - due to excessive puke stain in the toilet. Hahaha

Let's not waste anymore time, let's take a look...

This is Lehong's bed right after his laundry. This is where he spends the whole night sleeping, only to wake up in the morning with his signature coughing and puking.

This is Keljin... the other drinker... but he's not part of the room. Here's Lehong's cupboard with his towel hanging to dry on the outside. Keljin's busy here, he was on the phone - technically he always on the phone.

Lehong's here, obviously not interested in what I was doing - too busy looking at Kpop news or looking at what is there left to download from the net. Nothing much left I assure you.

The toilet, with matching hand towel and tissues. We sort of have a race to see who can finish their box. I think he's in the lead at the moment. Let me check...

Half gone... yea he's in the lead alright... I'm catching up, just 2 bottles behind. Let's move on the to kitchen.

The fridge's pretty filled up with stuff. What amazes me is the amount of juice that we have... seriously, everyone in this house loves juice and beer.

A supply of instant noodles, to be totally honest - this is just half the amount we had at the beginning, which was less than a week ago.

This is me... or rather my reflection in the living room...

Lehong didn't want to leave the living room for me to take my picture :( so I had to use brute force to get him off (judging by size... it didn't really take much force)

The living room minus lehong... and lastly I'll leave with an 'artistic' shot of the living room...

Kent - a change

Got internet a couple of days ago but just didn't seem to get any time to blog here. My first week in a campus uni was filled with classes everyday, well this was partly my fault as I haven't made my choice of modules. So I was left with no choice but to attend (almost) ALL the bloody classes. Really tiring, at least I narrowed down the modules this week, so less classes and yes more time to blog.

Firstly, I would like to say that my house is extremely homely now - we spent a lot to get the place to feel more like home. The well-equipped kitchen with loads of sauces - oriental cuisine demands at least 2 sauces at a time, a knife set worth 100 pounds (got it for 50 at Ashford, there was a sale there), cool-looking cutlery, Tefal brand pans and best of all the kitchen has a metal and wood theme. Two of the 5 elements of Feng Shui (?) lol, I'm not sure of that as well.

The toilet has a theme as well! Blue and yellow, the toilet papers are yellow and the floor mat is a matching blue with the floor itself. Best of all, the water in the toilet bowl is blue as well at the moment - hahaha.

There's 3 room altogether and a living room as well. The best part? All the rooms contain a box of beer each - needless to say, we won't run out of alcohol anytime soon. It's a story that I'm not willing to share here... to shameful to even remember the experience... sigh

Here's my room :)
The the view from the door, my bed's there with the fan there to accompany me through all those 'hot' nights...

Here's my cabinets and my table - the normal stuff, files, laptop and my beloved speakers... here comes the best part of my room

My really huge cupboard that you can even walk in to change! hahaha, love being in the cupboard to change or just to pick out clothes for the day...

That's it for now about the house... will put more pics when I get permission to take pics of the other rooms, hehehe

Been walking to school everyday - this took about 30 mins. Good exercise but it was really time consuming...

well, say no more to walking!

more in the next post..

Leaving London

So I'm off in a couple of days. Settling down a 90 minutes train ride from central London so the quiet city of Canterbury. How would a year's life there change me? No idea, only time would tell. I do hope the change is for the better.

Won't be with internet immediately there so I'd expect a dull life for the next week after moving in. Guess it won't be that bad - would be with the other 2 housemates that in my opinion was suppose to stay (including me) together in the first place...

There's been a fly buzzing around my life lately - incredibly irritating I suppose and persistent as well. Well, let's see if moving away would get rid of it. Also, the fly wanted to be mentioned in this blog - so I'll just do it now, yes it's you Khai Ven!

Well, I'll remember to take more pictures with my already dusty camera, till next time - I promise more pictures to come...

*Update*

Yesterday's Kent trip was a waste of time... A couple of updates first :
-I'm moving away FROM London for a year, to enjoy the country life, something I've not done in my life.
- Will post another chapter in my story soon.
- I'm still stressed but I was reminded where to put all my stress away, glad that it's working.
- I need a beer, then again, don't we all? :P

Now... where do I start? Let's start with something I read just recently...
According to good ol' Bloomberg,

"Walt Disney Co., the world’s biggest media company, outflanked Hollywood competitors while enhancing its film lineup with the $4 billion acquisition of comic-book pioneer Marvel Entertainment Inc."
"Acquiring Marvel also gives Disney the right to deprive its rivals of access to more than 5,000 Marvel characters that aren’t already in use..."
"Spider-Man and other Marvel characters may begin to appear alongside Mickey Mouse and Buzz Lightyear by next year in parades at Disneyland in Anaheim, California and the adjacent California Adventure..."

Spider-Man, Mickey, Buzz and a wolverine...

I'm already looking forward to going to Disneyland, imagine the Hulk running rampant there scaring all the kids away... hehehe

Also in the news,

Google mail crash: millions of users across the world affected
"Millions of Google mail users across the world have been unable to access the service for several hours, the company has confirmed."

This is exactly why I use Yahoo mail... hahahha
Yahoo Mail - 1, Gmail - 0

According to the Engineer Director,
"We're still investigating the root cause of this outage, and we'll share more information soon. Thanks for bearing with us."

So they still have no idea on what went wrong... hmmm, just cause I feel like it, I'll give Yahoo another point for this, so the final score is...
Yahoo Mail - 2, Gmail - 0

Muahahahaha

On my current FB Watch,
I got tagged in 7 photos. In one particular one, where there's two ppl (me included), someone commented that 1 of us looked good... and that person wasn't me... Sigh - is life slumping for me already?
I was at the Notting Hill Carnival just recently, and I just realised that I had a total of ZERO pictures taken of myself... despite my nickname of Poser... another slump in my life...
So I'm going to tag myself in one of the photos...

So I'm the cool guy in red playing some metal drums, yeap - was sooo glad to be a part of the carnival, lolz...

I just saw an RO wedding... weird... lolz

It's almost 2am and I need to go to Kent tomorrow... so Good night for now.. zzZZZ

Anger Management? Stress Management?

Getting your visa done is a pain in the behind - seriously. So many documents, so much troubles, all so that you can study for just ONE more year. Sigh... troublesome - ARRGGHH!!! In so much stress at the moment...

all the expectations that I put unto myself,
all the expectations that I think others (that matter) are putting on me...

it's all suffocating me to a point where I feel like I must consume alcohol to find temporary numbness from the world. Well that worked - until it landed me into a bad sore throat, now what?
hahaha

oh yea, bout the expectations that others put on me? I seriously don't care... I DONT CARE

and another thing, my housemate is addicted to that song as well! I dont care eeh eeh eeh eeh eeh...

On my facebook watch today...
Nothing much! a friend posted up an album about her other friends posing with each other which overall is kept in that album as a memory of them being friends... altogether. And in the midst of all of that there were some mash potatoes and broccoli(s).
The one thing that I don't get is that so many people are addicted to some of these applications on fb, Barn Buddy, Sunshine Garden and Farmville. Apparently people just like the idea of managing their own farm, whether it be feeding the animals, pulling carrots or watering the potato patches. Are you serious? Come on - there must be some better game somewhere. I think it's because of the city life, it must be it... such a depriving life that everyone there just wants to do what farmers do everyday...
I think if you'd give farmers some computer and get them onto fb, they'll be playing Investment Banker Buddy, Stockexchange Market and Auditville.
And I got tagged as a Yam Cake...

Take a look at this...
It's a girl screaming her head off because someone tried to steal her crown...
Ok fine - it's Miss Venezuela winning the Miss Universe pageant.. (taken from theStar), you see? this is exactly the reason I want to go to that country since the tender age of ... 19. Ok so not so young then but still, a kid can dream. Year after year, Venezuela has done nothing but produced some of the finest women a man can lay his eyes own. No matter how shallow that sounded you have to admit that there's some truth in that statement... sigh, need to save up some money...

Oh yes, getting on to my title - well the first part at least. It's disappointing but in the past few weeks, I've gotten angry at more people that I ever have in my entire life. And I don't mean the sort of anger that disappears after a day (that one I have loads of), I'm meaning the kind that sticks to you and keeps on fanning your temper to a point that you just can't take it. Then you realise that you're just thinking about that person, you've haven't even gotten to the point of seeing that person. And then you chill out, calm down... but then, the thought comes back again - and that very cycle also pisses me off... well, being a sensible person, I seeked help...

According to a website,
Breathe deeply from your diaphragm (just below your lungs) in long, slow breaths to give your heartbeat a chance to slow down. This breathing technique may help you feel more relaxed:

sit or lie in a comfortable position

take a deep breath in

hold this and count to three

slowly breathe out

continue this until you feel more relaxed

you can then carry on with what you were doing but with a calmer frame of mind

Ok, so I have to admit that it sounds like I was reading from a pregnancy website - I wasn't OK, my mind is still clear and straight. Hahaha, it's funny though cos I did actually double checked to make sure that it really wasn't a pregnancy website. I wasn't really expecting something to come out... errr, but that's not the point. so I did just that - lied down, breathed really slowly. It didn't really calm me down at first but then I closed my eyes just to make me relax even more. At that point it was actually working... until I feel asleep. Woke up the next morning and realised that I feel asleep trying to overcome my anger - so... that's not very practical isn't it? I mean, I freaking don't want to sleep everytime I think of those people... ARGH!! and now it pisses me off again...

AARRRGGGHHH!!!!

PS - I usually drink alcohol to calm myself down.
PSS - I can't cos I have a really bad sore throat at the moment.
PSS - crap....

When the owner finally finds some time...

I seriously think I'm not fit to be a blogger - Haha - I DONT CARE
Erm, just a couple of news to the people who still visit my blog (thanks) :

- Me and Michelle got together - thanks a lot for all the sympathetic messages but we got back together - thanks for the messages still though. It's like a bottomless pit of cyberspace storage... really wanna see how many messages it can actually hold in.
Alternately if you really hate me (don't worry, you're not alone) and don't feel like messaging me at ALL... check out this site...
http://15malaysia.com/

It has a really cool picture of a camera lens, with a cute comment : Just dont eat the damn guava.
Yes, I know. It is a really random comment - why guava? why not durian? Well, after much thought - it's because we Malaysians LOVE durian and would pick a durian over a guava anyday. So why bother filling up your stomaches with guava - that'll just make you less able to eat more durian. So don't eat the damn guava, eat the durian!

OK, so I might be wrong - who knows? I DONT CARE

Anyway, check out the site - lots of my friends are already a fan via facebook, I'm a fan as well but I'm just too darn lazy to click on the "Become a fan" button. There's a total of 15 short films in which 3 already have been released. Here's a synopsis... a really short one...

First is hilarious - brilliantly funny.
Second is like a deleted scene from Sepet.
Third relates Islam, commerce and trees together in a narration.

You might be wondering now why do I keep saying I DONT CARE? cos it's a song I've been addicted to... check it out and if you don't like it...

I DONT CARE

A word or two

I really am not emo anymore! seriously, I think I have recovered and am ready to be myself again. For those in the dark, I recently broke up and was emo for a couple of days - not anymore I'm actually fine and am looking forward to shopping in Harrod's! They have a sale - according to Ashley..

But yea - I am ok, used to be emo but now am ok, oh funny thing is, I was sooooo darn emo yesterday night and all for a different reason. I was watching episode 52 of Family outing - the one where Chun Hee and Yejin leaves! OMG - soooo sad to see them leave the family. My heart just broke shattered and turn to microscopic pieces when they were watching the video... ah, so sad - the family would never be the same without them...

No more will there be Chunderella, being bossed around by stepmother Kim - and I agree that the best moment was when he washed the radish with soap... hahaahahahah No more will there be savage killer Yejin, how will the family continue to prepare the fish? Though on the bright side - the new family, Park Si Yeon, looks damn CHUN... I will continue watching Family Outing no matter what!!

Right, went off topic there... erm, firstly - many thanks to those who sent sms-es and those who offered some words of comfort, thanks a lot for those. I'll have to agree that being single again after over 2.5 years is going to take some time to get used to...

OK next - to those who bitched behind my back about what kind of bf I was to my ex, to those who still claim that I am emo after numerous times of me saying I'm not and to those who misjudged me or jumped to a conclusion about the kind of person I am... Go and F*ck yourself. Honestly, I don't appreciate what you're doing and I don't care if I don't ever see you again - so if you notice that I'm sort of avoiding you, then that's probably you... either that or I just really don't want to see you, lol (maybe face problem?)

To these people, I have one more thing to say and I read this off a sign when I was in Greece, laughed my head off just reading it - I really should have bought that sign... hahaha

OK, so.. to you people...
"May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your crotch and may your arms be too short to scratch it..."

Haha, seriously lame...

The heat wave

London has reached Bangkok's level of heat and according to BBC - in one case, 4 dogs died in a car... the cause? They were boiled alive... OMG If it were to happen in Vietnam then it's dinner done for the family but here, nope. I pity the owners but yea I pity the dogs even more. Sad way to die.

Lucky for me I have a stand fan working almost all the time I'm in the room, to my room seems to be doing just fine. I really don't dare to go out and play in the sun cos seriously - it's freaking hot right now and the only place I can find some relief would be the shopping malls (hence the Westfield visit and the purchasing of the soon to be cooked Ostrich egg).

I know I mentioned earlier that I won't talk about the Wimbledon trip but I feel like I should do otherwise - I mean it's currently on going and I should say something about it...

It all started off with an amazingly early trip with the tube to Wimbledon, which upon arrival - we got off and headed off to a large field to line up to get tickets (you'd get a ticket with a number). The number I got was 7787 - which meant about 7786 people would go in before I did. We were there from about 8.45am... we reached the end of the line at about 12.45pm. So yea, a long wait - and a lot of time wasting. You would think that I would then have entered the arena and started watching tennis...

Wrong... being Malaysians, there must be at least ONE person late - and because of that he got a larger number. Lehong got 82 something something. 500 places behind... OMG -_-;; Being the one least interested in tennis, I opted to stay behind to wait with him - we had emo talks for about 2 hours before finally one of the stewards let us in. God bless him! He was such a nice old man, may he have a long and prosperous life ahead :)

Finally, we got in and then began our Wimbledon journey...

The time that we got in - it's a Rolex, the official sponsor for time keeping for Wimbledon 09

Check out his butt posture, it's so interesting to see them serve... this was our first match, a pretty close one - and from where we were seating, we could see how fast the balls were travelling...

The seating here was pretty chilled out - with people just relaxing on the lawn, enjoying the game...

This was the first court that we were on... In this case, we were off to Westfield. It's no where near 1 Utama back at home but it's better than nothing and like all shopping mall - there's air con!!

most of the time spent there were on window shopping, I personally didn't have anything to buy there, until we went to Waitrose that is. It's a super cool big supermarket that sells authentic stuff as well. And guess what? We got an Ostrich Egg! hahaha - big ass egg that is equivalent to 24 large hen eggs. I got lehong to stand on the egg and we did it right in the shopping mall! Lucky it didn't break (if it did, it would be all over the carpet that we were standing on).

Anyway, we plan to drill a hole, get the egg out and make several egg dishes with it. Now I'm googling around to see what egg dishes we should be cooking - I'm thinking scrambled eggs with omelette with steamed eggs and probably egg fried rice. hahahaha, we're going to be sooo sick of eggs later on.

I also got some Innocence drinks (cos I'm soo innocent) cos it was really cheap there, wanted to try a new flavour... so I went all out to get this one...

Looks like a weird combination at first, this drinks actually taste pretty good. For those who can't seem to get their hands on this wonderfully healthy drink, you might want to try mixing...

Taken from here.

it works cos they added no preservative or flavoring, so if you get the ratio right - it'll probably taste the same.. :P

On that day, I felt like drinking (alcohol) for some reason, for simplicity I'll just blame it on the hot weather... I ended up the day drinking from Westfield all the way to Rosebery... 4 whole bottles of...

Got a little high at the last bottle - ended up making everyone lose in a board game that we were playing. I seem to be playing board games lately (no not the lame monopoly one), I think it's a good way to get my mind of things... but that by no means show that I'm good at it, I seem to have a good consistency of achieving last place in most of the games that I play... hahaha - probably was not meant to be good at it :P

This seems to be like a drink post, with different kinds being featured here. Lol

PS - I won't blog about Greece or Wimbledon trips cos I think facebook has pretty much covered them already, suffice to say, those trips were pretty fun... with good company around me during that time. Thanks guys for the good times...

Let it all be immortalised in our memories and may we create more in the future...

Time freezes

Ok - so I tried to sleep.. thought I was tired enough to take a nap, suffice to say, I thought wrong. Let's be nice and start of with the plot... Same as before... The Decepticons still want to find another source of energy for their survival but now it is revealed that their under the rule of a Prime called The Fallen. Apparently the Primes are a decesdants of a race of superior robots and the last 'remaining' Prime is of course Optimus. Decepticons tries to get the new source of energy but then the Autobots stop them and peace is achieved again - temporarily. Of course, in the midst of that - Optimus dies while fighting 3 other Decepticons then gets revived to take out The Fallen. Done.

This movie attempts desperately to please the die-hard fans of Transformers by showing more robots fighting than the previous movie. So much so that it look extremely fake - possibly like a scene of Terminator : Salvation? I don't know - will compare it when I do watch the Terminator movie. Also, it is so disgustingly obvious that the movie is trying to show the superiority of Optimus Prime and the US Military. I mean seriously, I actually thought Optimus and Megatron was as good, or OK - Optimus might be slightly better. But taking on Megatron, Star Scream and some unknown Decepticon all at once? That's just too much. Yea he got killed - but's that's after he tore off Star Screams arm and completely ripped apart the unknown Decepticon's head. Sad. Plus - after his revival, he completely annihilated The Fallen who supposedly is a Prime as well with out even getting a scratch on him.

Here are some battle statistics, in the whole movie the Decepticons probably had over 30 and the Autobots may have just about 10... All the Decepticons dies - except for Megatron and Star Scream but the Autobots have zero casualty? Are the Decepticons bloody made out of plastic?

US military scores a millions points in this movie - most significant achievement being taking down 13 Decepticons in one battle. I mean I thought these were alien technologies that existed long before mankind even developed fire? And they get taken down by a bazooka? Sigh... Best part? The giant Decepticon made out of 5/6 freaking big vehicles, it's so big that Optimus probably is only as big as its arm. So it climbs up the pyramids to suck some stone out and gets taken down by who? The US military... did they use all their ammunitions? Nope - just one shot... ONE BLOODY SHOT from a rail gun... and the big metal beast falls to its doom...

All in all, this movie is obviously trying to please the die-hard fans of Transformers who had been following the old cartoon series up to now... The plot? sucks, The enemies are made of plastic and Optimus looks like Rambo or the Scorpion King who can take out an entire army if he has to. Watch it only if you're a die-hard fan, you're an Optimus fan or you just like to see Megan Fox wearing a low cut top running for her dear life...

Best Part - Megan Fox's hot sizzling body on the BIG SCREEN...

The Hangover (Spoiler Ahead)

Let's start of proper blogging with some reviews - managed to catch 2 movies in one day, the first being... The Hangover

This one was a random decision - it was a choice between the hangover or Dan Brown's Angels and Demons. But with the help of the tomato-meter and a whopping score of 78% over Dan's movie of 38%, the obvious choice was The Hangover. But was it a mistake to choose this show?

Definitely not, from the start to end, this show managed to keep me wanting more. Unlike most slap stick comedy, this one actually has an interesting and unpredictable plot. Throw in a consistent flow of jokes (some pretty dirty) and you have a winner.

The movie is about a group of 4 guys leaving their homes to invade Las Vegas for a bachelor party. One of them (Doug I think), is getting married soon and so begins their night of sinful pleasure... The next day, 3 of them wake up from their hangovers and finds out that their friend Doug is missing. Searching high and low with absolutely no clue to what happened the night before, they try their best to find their friend and get him to his wedding - that's happening the next day.

Funny Dirty Stupid and yet in the weirdest of way, Makes full sense. Watch it if you're overly stressed in life and want to watch something funny but at the same time better than the likes of 'Dude, where's my care'.

Best Part : When they made the little baby jerk off... Hahaa - the baby's face... Priceless..

Freedom For A Moment

The Good :

I'm finally free from exams - the last two months seemed like an eternity and I'm soo glad that it's all over! Easter - and so begins the dreaded period of any student's life. Exams! It's weird really, final day of the Easter break and everyone seems to have left home early from the library. I'm no exception. Thus to waste my precious time because I just don't have the mood to study at the moment, I will update! A promise to commit at least 90 minutes to updating this beloved blog of mine... Let's do this picture style! :)

Amsterdam
was really interesting. My first taste of what's it like being way above the clouds. I was so light headed I swore I felt like flying high in the sky. So this is what Superman feels all the time. Most of your senses get so distorted... seriously, that's a one of a kind feeling. Really enjoyed my time there. It started off with us arriving at the station - in the city centre of course...

Then came the usual routine to travellers : Check in, leave your luggages and get out for some fun! Managed to catch a 'free' tour that brought us around the city whilst educating about the rich history that brought Amsterdam to where she is now. Ironically some of the best parts of the tours were right at where we were earlier - our hostel that we checked in. Located just outside the street of our hostel's entrance were... these beautiful works of art...

The natural mating process

The BJ
The Stripper

Here's a little background on drinking rules - just for those who don't know. You can't bloody drink in public in London.. period. If you get caught and you seem like a dumb lost tourist (if you're not, act like one!) the police would probably let you off with a stern warning. So yea you can't drink in public at all - not even hold a can of beer in the streets. Try not to do that when the cops are roaming around, and trust me, they do that quite often.
Bout things back at Msia, not too sure whether you're allowed to drink in public. Some of my friends claim that you can't drink in public in Msia as well, but heck - I've been chucking down beers in parks before. Anyways, what about in Amsterdam?

No! awww... hahaha - but check out the third no's - No peeing on the streets. Apparently they used to have lots of problems with people overdrinking and running off to the corner of a building to let go. Well, these problems were mostly associated to guys (ah well). The government then came up with ways to stop this problem, one of which was to install an anti public peeing device...

This supposedly would 'bounce' your piss back onto yourself or flow down to your shoes - thus preventing you from your relief. Does it work? I didn't try... or at least even if I did.. I wouldn't tell you what happened later on...

Ever wondered why fast food were called fast food? Simply because of it's efficiency both in terms of serving the food to you and for you to consume it. Quick, simple and obviously... fast. But Amsterdam has brought fast food to another level.

Introducing... I had 3 burgers after getting high, something about getting high that just empties your stomach really quickly. Lolz...

Lastly - let me talk about our hostel. Our beloved hostel. I just found out when I got to the place. Deep in the heart of the red light district, right in the centre of all the fornification, all the sins - surrounded by all the prostitutes advertising their (amazingly hot) bodies... was our hostel, a Christian Hostel. Ironic?

After all that I've done there - I really hope He still does...

-End-

Frankfurt
Because of some complication, I came here alone... :-(
My photos in the Frankfurt Zoo - can be seen in my fb, it's all about animals so I won't bother mentioning them here. All in all - it was fun to see cute lil animals trapped in captivity deprived from their rightful freedom to exist in their natural habitat. I'm being sarcastic... heh

After that trip - I managed to get to the Main Tower, the only tower that's publicly open for people to see the city from a higher perspective. Suffice to say, it was cold - The winds were blowing ever so strongly - my hands were shivering non stop, they turned blue at one point I think. Ok, so they didn't, but it's a possibility... but the view? Amazing...

It felt some what peaceful just being up there...

And there's the famous Deutsche Bank Twin Towers

At this point - let me tell your about my genius plan (which is actually recommended by TripAdvisor.com lolz), watch the sun set from the tower! Smart right? I'm glad I thought it up myself. Haha, here's where my genius plan went totally wrong...

The sun... was sooo high up!!! WAHHHH came up too early ah!!!! OMG... yes, so I sat there... for 90 minutes... freezing my butt off just to catch the sun set... hooooo cold... shaun became 'ice-shaun' ... hahahahaah ok sooo not funny cos I was really suffering then...

Finally - the sun setting, it came and passed really quickly. Just watching it fall beyond the horizon, then seeing the city being swallowed up by the shadows was really magnificent. Just when you thought you've seen everything - the city lights started to come up radiating the whole place again. The transformation of Frankfurt from night to day made my suffering worth it. I'm really glad I managed to see it.

Also many photographers were already prepared to capture this breath-taking moment.

Most of them with their DSLR's and tripods... I guess this was a haven for photographers... To my fellow friends whose lives revolve around a little mechanical device that captures pictures - this is a really nice spot to take those scenic pictures...

After my first day alone - finally my other travel mates arrived! Yayz to the end of my loneliness, as much as I hate to say this - I'm actually happy to NOT travel alone anymore...

Me, Hanyi and Kim... Kim got really tipsy after one glass of rose wine - let's just saw her version of Low was ridiculously funny. Moving on... we still haven't talked about food! Haha, some of the more famous food here in Germany would be.... Sausages! Woohoo - stuffed myself silly with sausages in those 3 days...

Of course, after a hearty meal, you must have dessert! Mine came in a form of a pudding! hahaha - We decided to takeaway our desserts and have it by the river (the Main River is beautiful btw). I'll do it when my exams are over (I hope I remember, hahhaa). Or I'll just let fb do all the talking... :P

I seriously think this is a long post... hahaha

On another note - I'm freaking addicted to K-pop! Here's Shaun's Top 5 Music Videos for Korean Pop!

Number 1 Big Bang feat. 2NE1 - Lollipop

Number 2 SNSD - Gee

Number 3 Super Junior - Sorry Sorry

Number 4 Taeyang - Look only at me

Number 5 Lee Hyori - U-Go-Girl

Yea, got a little too addicted to K-pop, not all of these songs are new but together they're a good mix and my companion when I'm studying in the library. Enjoy these videos!

And my 90 minutes have ended a looong time ago... haha, glad I was able to post something up. Will resume normal posting after my final exams! I'm graduating soon!!! ARGH OMG!! I feel old... sigh

Big thanks to all who still read my blog... :P

An Update - long awaited one..

Yes, I finally have time to do an update. Why? Simply because I want to take a bath but the hot water in my toilet just died. And there's no way I'm bathing in cold water cos I have a cold and I need HOT water so desperately now. Anyways, here's what's been going with me/around me lately...

1. I've been to the library every bloody day - spending my whole day there. Sigh, the life of a nerd begins. Oh yea, I've also been eating Japanese food almost every day. That's because there's this place called Bento Box - the sign actually looks almost like Sushi King. Anyways, that place has a special offer from 8pm onward - All the food becomes half priced! Woohoo! So yea, almost all the Malaysian students in the library at that time would go there. Shows how well we save money eh? Can't seem to find any picture of the place online, here's a review.

2. My current song? More like artist actually - The Fray! I love 'You found me' and 'How to save a life'. Yes I know, the latter is an old song but I love it so much now - Imagine repeating both the songs for 10 hours. Hahaha. The first song is a new one but many people said it sounds like a Christian song. I agree and it does talk about God :P Checkout the acoustic version of the song on youtube. Though I think that it sounds the same as the album one.

3. This year - for some reason my beloved country seemed to talk such a strong stand on Earth Hour. Nothing was heard last year of course. But you what they say : Better late than never. Proud of the country taking a stand on environmental issues and trying to instill awareness to people about taking care of our beloved planet. Imagine my surprise when I saw the pictures from TheStar.

Alright - so the first and last picture are the same, but that's what happened right? It was on then it came off and then back on. Amazing - guess where/what I was doing during Earth Hour? Haha, I was in the library studying and yes you can probably guess it - I was in Bento Box! Haha, after 8 half price meals and yes it was bloody BRIGHT in there.

4. I still need to post about my trips!! argh - but I just realised something : I'm really unfit right now. For the past few days after coming back from my trips - I have not exercised at all! Nooo! And the best/worst part - I have been eating and drinking unhealthily during the trip. I mean I was hardly drinking water then. What was I drinking mostly? here...

Beer or Bier as they would call it - about 2 liters a day. Haha, it's no wonder why I didn't drink water. Mmm - liquid bread.

5. G20 has been making headlines here. Funny thing is that bankers can't look like themselves this past week due to the angry mobs that would probably brutally beat them up at the sight of them. The mobs even have pitchforks in the States. Lolz, this brings me back to the old times of witches and Frankensteins. Funny how history repeats itself right? But at least G20 are trying to win back the heart of the angry mob - they're cutting down on the pay of bankers. So sorry to those who are venturing into that area at the moment. I mean understandably it's the directors/boards that are to be blame but the analyst are also taking a hit as well. Oh - and another agenda was to reveal countries that break the free-trade laws, basically naming and shaming those countries. Here's an interesting point - Malaysia made the list! We're famous :P TheStar writes about it. The full list of agendas that would be discussed are here with the agenda of protectionism highlighted.

Chapter 4

I've been spending my whole day in the library since Friday. Full Stop - that means that I have no time to blog or upload pics unfortunately (and I so want to post about the trips that I was on for the past week). I'll try to find time to do those things whenever I can. But this is my final year and of course the most important one. I really need to do well - so I guess I'll be hitting the books for the next 2 months or so. Hopefully my first class honours will come when I graduate in mid July.

To those who are graduating or who are taking exams, All the best and good luck. I'm sure you'll do well anyways.

Manage to squeeze in some time to write out chapter 4. Enjoy.

Just a note to all who commented - thanks for your comments, I really appreciate them - it sorta encourages me to write on. Thanks for reading.

Chapter 4

You how it’s like when you don’t need something and it’s always there right in your face, just bugging you. But when you need it so crucially, it magically disappears? That’s life isn’t it? Or when you bought something from a shop thinking that it was a good buy only to end up seeing something else nicer and cheaper just a few shops away? I know – most of you would be thinking ‘Why don’t you just window shop and survey around first?’ I know, but listen up! What if someone else bought it first? I mean, I’d rather not take the risk or losing something that was in my very hands just a couple of minutes ago. Hmm, my point is, life sometime plays little tricks on you. In this case, granting my very wish at the worst possible time. Don’t think so? Let’s just examine my situation before we move on with what happened, shall we?
Firstly, my wish that magically came true, my dream guy appearing right before me. I mean seriously, he was hot! Tall, handsome, fair, wavy hair, sweet smile, charming voice, well built and let’s just say his sense of style was absolutely flawless. It was like an angel came to earth and decided to take the form of the most gorgeous looking person and decided to carry my bag of the airport conveyer belt. Perfect, just perfect. If nothing else were to get in the way then I would have swore that I will not believe any of Kat’s superstitious mumbo jumbo anymore. Yes, there was a big IF at the start of the previous sentence. You see, when life decided to place Mr. Perfect before me, I had to look like a ragged old woman who just had the worst twelve and a half hour flight of her life. Her hair is all tangled up and messy – I actually checked in my cosmetic box so I couldn’t freshen up after getting off the plane. And I could have sworn that I saw big dark rings below my eyes when I walked pass a mirror or maybe it was some reflective thing. Whatever, point it I looked my worst and I was being pulled by my luggage when he first saw me. There goes my first impression, crashing down straight to disaster. Oh Emm Gee.

Are you sure you can handle that bag? It’s really heavy.

I just continued staring at him, lost in my fantasy. I think this one involved Josh Hartnett and Matt Damon as well.

Er, are you alright? Hi there.

At this point he waved his hands at me. That’s when I realised that I was staring blankly at him for a long time. Great, not only do you look like crap but now you’re just stoning when he’s talking to you. He must really think I’m some weirdo now. No!! Do something Nat! Say something so amazingly brilliant that he’ll be so impressed by you and would want to be with you for the rest of his life. I’m so sure I can do it! From all those years of watching romance movies, I am positive that I’ll say something to make him love me. Alright, here goes!

Er… mm… hi

That’s it? Nat, you idiot! That’s it? That’s the big line? OMG, I feel like such an idiot now. Why life? Why do you grant me my wish now of all the times. Can you do it when I’m in a beautiful evening dress and am all dolled up? Sigh

Are you hurt?
Emm… no
That’s good to hear. I’m Edward by the way.

Edward, what a wonderful name. I can see it now. Natalie and Edward – couple of the year. The talk of the town. The prom king and queen. Oh wait, why is he staring at me like that? Does he want something from me? Oh, a kiss perhaps? Ahh! Edward! You move soo quickly but if it’s a kiss that you desire then by all means…

And your name is?
Oh… er, it’s Natalie.

Oh right, my name. Silly me…

So are you furthering your studies here?
Yea… I’m studying at the London School of Economics.
Oh really? Well, same here. I’m studying economics there, what course are you doing?

So he’s studying at the LSE as well! Thank you God! That means I’ll be seeing him again. That time I’ll be ready. I think that second impressions are just as importantly as the first ones. I will be able to impress him then.

I’m studying Actuarial Science.
Wow, that’s a tough course. Anyways, my friend is already waiting for me. Shall we head to the arrival halls?
Sure…

Walking with him to the arrival hall was more than enough to cheer me up from my depressing trip so far. It was so amazing. Even pulling my heavy luggage didn’t bother me at all. I was happy and blissful. At the hall, there was already a familiar face waiting for me. Kat! She came running to me and then we hugged. Oh, I missed her so much.

I guess you had a friend waiting for you as well. Well, it was nice meeting you. I guess I’ll see you around in school. Bye, take care.
Oh… er, bye.

Oh, Lily, who’s that guy? He looks really cute.
He’s Edward and Kat, I think I have like the biggest crush on him. He’s seriously hot and gorgeous and he’s studying at the LSE. It’s soo perfect!
OMG, really? Ahh!! That’s so great. So, it seems like you had a good flight here. That’s a good sign, babe! Your life here is going to be great.
Er, yea. It was a good trip here. You betcha…

There was no way that I’d tell Kat that my trip was a disaster. She’d probably put me on some good luck probation. I might have to kiss horse shoes and have rabbit’s paws around me for months. As we headed off, I took one last glance at Mr. Perfect, just for memory sake. He was standing there with a girl in his arms. He was hugging her. My mind just went blank. I really wished I hadn’t taken that glance.
